PROJECT Healthcare

The Challenge of Projects

The scope of work focused on the design and upgrading of essential hospital infrastructure systems required to support safe, reliable, and efficient healthcare delivery. LIMCO delivered HVAC systems design to ensure proper climate control, air quality, and infection-control standards in clinical environments. Electrical systems were redesigned and upgraded to support increased load demands, life-safety systems, and uninterrupted power supply critical to hospital operations.

In addition to mechanical and electrical systems, LIMCO also provided MEP network design services, ensuring coordinated integration between mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across complex healthcare facilities. These services were carefully planned to minimize disruption to ongoing hospital operations while meeting stringent healthcare regulations and performance requirements.

Project Requirements

  • HVAC systems design to meet hospital air quality and infection-control standards

  • Electrical systems redesign and upgrades for reliability and life-safety compliance

  • MEP network design and coordination across complex healthcare facilities

  • Compliance with government healthcare regulations and international standards

  • Coordination with architects, hospital administrators, and contractors

  • Phased implementation to minimize disruption to active medical services

Through these projects, LIMCO contributed to strengthening Jamaica’s public healthcare infrastructure by delivering resilient, code-compliant, and future-ready engineering solutions that support improved patient care, staff efficiency, and long-term operational sustainability.

Project Results

The hospital projects were successfully completed with upgraded mechanical and electrical systems that enhanced operational reliability, safety, and efficiency. LIMCO’s engineering designs improved climate control, power resilience, and system coordination across multiple government hospitals, supporting continuous healthcare delivery. The results strengthened public hospital infrastructure, ensuring facilities are better equipped to meet current and future healthcare demands.
